Walking Holiday in Cornwall
Walking Holidays in Cornwall are one of the delights of the area, with the South Western Coastal Path stretching a total of 630 miles from Minehead in north Devon round to Poole Harbour in Dorset, and as luck would have it, it runs right past the door of Pols Piece apartments.
You may not want to do all 630 miles, but using Pols Piece as a base for a cornwall walking holiday you have the options of walking in much smaller steps. Here are a few suggestions for great walks in North Cornwall, of course using Pols Piece apartments as a convenient base!
The actual walk to the beach is about 5 minutes.
Walking East from Trevone Bay:
To Padstow cross country (for the ferry across the Camel Estuary (2 miles)
To the mouth of the Camel Estuary (2.6 miles) and then to Padstow along the estuary (2.4 miles more)
From the ferry at Rock (the other side of the Camel estuary) to Polzeth village and beach (2.6 miles)
From the ferry at Rock (the other side of the Camel estuary) to Pentire point (4.5 miles)
Walking West from Trevone Bay:
Harlyn Bay (1 mile) - Surf school and beach is here.
Mother Ivey's Bay (2.2 miles)
Trevose Point and lighthouse (3.4 miles) This is a spectacular walk and should not be missed!
Constantine Bay (4.7 miles along the coast, or 2.5 miles the direct route) A lovely bay with rockpools and great surf, just in front of Trevose Golf Club.
Treyarnon Bay (5.7 miles along the coast, or 2.7 miles the direct route)
Porthcothan (6.9 miles)
Bedruthan Steps (9.3 miles) Some of the most spectacular rocky scenery in North Cornwall.
Mawgan Porth (10.6 miles)
To Newquay as the crow flies (10.2 miles)
To Newquay along the coastl path: (16 miles)
